How mindfulness changes your brain

Just watched nice short movie about effect mindfulness on the brain (3,5 mins).
Research shows at least two striking effects:

  1. through mindfulness we develop more connections in our prefrontal cortex (empathy / regulating emotions). And
  2. our emotional center (amygdala) gets smaller.

Result: we are not as much overwhelmed by emotions, we are better able to recover, and we experience less stress 🙂
